This is Malichyma, a female bald eagle who was brought to WARM after being shot by a hunter and left to die, her left wing barely attached to her body.

She was taken to a local veterinarian to see what could be done to save her life. The damaged wing was repaired though she will never fly again.

Now about 5 years old and sporting the characteristically beautiful white bald eagle head, Malichyma is a permanent resident at WARM under a federal permit as "Educational non-releasable."
